On October 22, 2014, the Collaborative brought together participants in a roundtable discussion on wood waste.  The goal of the roundtable was to connect participants with each other, and discuss potential collective action / research questions around wood waste. See the roundtable’s agenda here: Agenda for 2014 Wood Waste Roundtable.

Many participants attending this roundtable came from industry, with attendees also from Metro Vancouver, regional universities and colleges, and municipalities. One of the topics discussed was the use of recycled concrete aggregate in new concrete, and Dr. Shahria Alam from UBC Okanagan presented on his work in that area.
